International Women’s Day

The FDC Women’s Committee today commemorated the International Women’s Day by joining other groups calling for the resignation of Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in a protest rally held at the historic Mendiola Bridge, near Malacañang. The women, under the Martsa ng Kababaihan (Women’s March), brought with them a “warrant of arrest” and a giant pair of handcuffs and gave Arroyo a sentence of “reclusion perpetua” or life imprisonment.
